Music

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

Ooops, it’s been a while since I’ve posted! I have been keeping really busy working on weddings, meeting with clients and freelancing. I want to show you guys what I’ve been listening to while working lately… Rodrigo y Gabriela is easily the album of the year (okay, so it was released in 2006, but I only recently discovered it) and I’m slowly turning all of my friends and family into fans.
Turn up the volume and press play!

(excuse the long intro)

amazing!

Happy New Year!

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Okay, I’m a little late…
First, I’d like to thank all my wonderful 2007 couples, I had a great time working with everyone and will be setting up a ‘raves’ page with some of the great feedback I’ve received from you!

My 2008 season begins March, so I’ll be posting some personal stuff over the next couple of months. One of my favorite things about freelancing for the Democrat and Chronicle is that I get to do and see things I’d never know about otherwise. A few nights ago, I went to a New Year celebration for Burmese refugees (it’s the year 2747 for them!), most of whom arrived in Rochester from detention camps in Burma/Myanmar.

Everyone was so happy to be there, and experience a little bit of home in a strange new place. The celebration was filled with colorful clothes, beaming faces and beautiful traditional music. Here are a couple of pictures from the event!
