Woo!

Happy Day-After-Election-Day everybody!  Are you as glad that it’s over as I am?  Although I didn’t vote for Barack (I usually vote Libertarian or write in… I’m contrary like that, ha ha) I am excited to have such an eloquent and dignified leader.  We’re all in this together, let’s just be nice to each other for a while!

And if we can’t, at least there’s this live feed of a pile of snuggling puppies.

It will fix everything!

I’ll be finishing up my last wedding and then moving to album design… I’ll be posting pictures along the way, as well as a few album spreads, cause I haven’t ever posted those before!  Exciting :)

And because I don’t want to leave without a picture, here’s a shot from Matt and Kerri’s camera of Kerri, me and my cousin Kelly showing everyone how it’s done infront of the big glowing Beatles wall at the Mirage!

Hitting the road!

Well, the air… tomorrow morning, at a time of day completely unfamiliar to me (6:15) I’ll be on my way to my first Vegas wedding!  I can’t wait, it’s going to be a blast!  I probably won’t be checking my email much, so I’ll respond when I’m back on Tuesday… thanks for your patience!

:D

Love my clients!

I’ve been lucky to have really amazing clients since starting my business.  I love to get great feedback when they get their final images, and I thought I’d share a recent one cause it was just so cute and sweet… love it!

Oh my god Megan, these are beautiful!! I could not have asked for anything more perfect.

You are wonderful

thanks again
Tiffany and Victor

My little sis is a Mrs!

Whew, it’s been a crazy couple of weeks here!  My sister Maureen got married on Saturday the 19th, and I had just about forgotten what it was like to be on the other side of a wedding! :) It was my first time as Maid of Honor, and it’s quite a job, but worth every second.  The speech is definitely the scariest part. ;)

And of course I did not take one single picture alllll day!  Can you believe it?  I decided with all the other things I had to take care of that I would leave my camera at home so I didn’t have to keep an eye on it… it was an amazing day.  I’m so happy for Maureen and Brian!

The weekend before the wedding was the bachelorette party wine tour, which was a blast.  I decided to schedule myself a break weekend for the 26th, but I’ll be back shooting on August 2nd for Rachel and Olivier’s wedding down in Ithaca!

Browsers and colors!

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Hello Firefox users!  I just recently switched from Safari to Firefox and love everything about it… except the color.  Which, of course, to me is very important!  The color was dull, muddy and kinda greenish, but someone just posted this awesome color profile switch on my favorite photography forum, and it takes about two seconds and it is so worth it!

This is for Mac users on Firefox 3:

First off,
If you have a Mac, open up Firefox and Safari and go to this webpage:
http://www.color.org/version4html.xalter

You can see the huge difference in color… yuck!

In Firefox 3, type “about:config” in the address bar.

Do a search for “GFX”. “gfx.color_management.enabled” to be exact. It will be set to ‘false’. Double click it to turn it to true.

Now, close out of Firefox and restart it.  You can go to that original page to see how different it looks, or just look at my blog. :)

Fresh!

Thank you to all of the brave men and women.

The Final Salute
I had the honor of meeting photographer Todd Heisler and seeing him present this story a few years ago. It is something you will never forget.
