I had so much fun photographing these two, they’re just adorable! They live in Erie but are getting married in Skaneateles so we decided to split the difference and shoot in Buffalo. We got started in the city and had some pretty cool locations to work with!

The birds were jealous and wanted to get in on the shoot.

Breanna’s hair is incredible. So jealous!

We also headed to the Japanese Gardens for some more natural surroundings. I luurve this one!

Laura and Steve are such a great couple… so sweet and happy and just really genuinely nice people. I was so happy they got such a lovely day (outdoor weddings in central NY in early May are a real gamble!) to celebrate their wedding!

Laura and her girls were busy with preparations when I arrived, but after a while a card from Steve was sent up and Laura took a quiet moment to herself. I love her expression, as well as the lace curtain reflected in the window.

Laura had some really great details… the shoes were killer!

And I mean helloooooo

Laura’s dress was stunning. I think that is my favorite neckline ever, it’s just so pretty!

Laura and Steve opted to do a first look, they were ridiculously cute!

Before heading downstairs, Laura declared she would not be needing any tissues. Then this happened:

And of course she managed to not mess up her makeup one bit. Tell me your secrets!!! Ha ha.

Laura’s beautiful flowers were by the talented Lisa at Flower Power Decor. When Laura and Steve were in town for meetings last April, they came right from a meeting with Lisa to meet with me, that made me cross my fingers AND toes hoping they’d book. Lisa is amazing!

They booked me last September and we had an incredible engagement shoot that I’m finally getting around to sharing! I was so excited about all the locations we had to explore, as well as the great light that day. It was quite chilly, but it looks warm so let’s just go with it!

Outfit change! The trees were just beginning to turn, and the sky was that amazingly crisp autumn blue.

These two just wanted to get married asap, but wanted their reception in better weather so decided to hold off on the party until July. That meant the ceremony was a very small, intimate event, which I just love!
I headed down to Bristol Harbour, it was bitter cold and the wind was whipping the snow into little tornadoes in all the farm fields I passed. So pretty, but not exactly conducive to picture-taking! Except:

These two were willing to brave the extreme cold and wind to get some shots of the incredible view at Bristol Harbour. So worth it! I’m obsessed with how the wind caught Rebecca’s gown.

So happy and so sweet together!

I finally let them back inside (that’s where I was shooting from. JK!) They made this lovely chuppah themselves!

The ceremony was short and sweet.

I was so charmed by Ashley, Joey and Ashley’s mom Renate when we met in May to go over the details and timelines for their wedding… Ashley and Joey are so giddily in love and Renate is an Art professor at Cornell and was so excited about the photography. I really can’t say it enough- I love that I end up with so many creatives as my clients (Ashley is a dancer and choreographer!) Ashley and Joey met when Ashley moved to California and asked a friend to help her meet some new people. Ashley didn’t really know if it was a date, but when the two of them met they became pretty inseparable.

Ashley and Joey had planned a first look… they didn’t want to see each other but did want to talk a bit before they were dressed, so that led to this sweet, unplanned moment.

We’d had something like an inch of snow for the month, which is way below normal… then the week before we got almost two feet! Pretty hectic, but thankfully the majority of it didn’t come on the wedding day! I headed to photograph Shannon having her makeup done by the talented and sweet Tiffany Loveless.

Luckily everything was pretty close together on this snowy day! We made it to the church with plenty of time to spare. So pretty!
