Jill and Zach! Schnauzers!
I headed out to Saratoga Springs on Friday evening, so excited Jill and Zach's big day was finally here! Almost. 🙂 Saturday morning, I met up with the guys where Lukas, the cuuutest ring bearer, was kind of running the show.
Then I met up with the ladies at the Saratoga Arms... Jill's dress is so beautiful!
The ceremony was at St. Mary's in Ballston Spa. What a stunning church!
Jill and Zach met on a softball league and hit it off but did not start dating immediately. Once Zach asked Jill out, it was kind of a whirlwind from there... they just wanted to spend as much time together as possible. They moved in together a few months later and were engaged just shy of their one year anniversary. You can just kind of see it all right here, the way they are with each other. So in love, so happy!
As we were pulling up to the church, I saw this building next door and decided we had to do a bridal party shot there after the ceremony. Love it!
We had planned to head to Congress Park for pictures but it turned out some Civil War reenactors were calling it home for the weekend. Headed to a nearby spot for these pretty pictures!
Punctuated by the occasional cannon fire.
Their fireworks had nothing on Jill and Zach's though. 😉
We headed to the Universal Preservation Hall for the reception.
On the way to the church, Zach's mom told me that Zach's sister Ryan is serving in Afghanistan and they were trying to set up a Skype call with her during the day at some point. A while later, just as the bridesmaids were coming down the aisle, I looked over and saw Zach's dad with his ipad and figured he was taking pictures. I looked a little closer and noticed there was a face on the screen and it took me a second to realize they were actually doing a video call during the ceremony... it was a little surreal and a lot emotional. At one point, I heard a helicopter in the background and Zach's dad rushed to turn down the volume. I wish I could adequately express my gratitude to Ryan and all the members of our military for all of the sacrifices they make to serve us. They resumed the call during the reception so Ryan could watch her brother dance with his bride for the first time...
Once the dance floor opened up, DJ Mike Reilly of CT Productions, had it packed all night!
I can't... I love Jill's expression so much!!! So hilarious!
I am pretty sure I took this picture in 2013, but it may as well be me and my brother circa 1984, ha ha.
MVP was a VERY difficult choice. Should I give it to this groomsman, whose awesome moves apparently rendered all the children in the room unconscious?
Or this one, who looks like he's doing the traditional chair dance but there is no chair! Hey gravity, who cares?
Or this one, because of all the reasons?
It was a really difficult choice, but I think I have to give it to this guy for originality. I have never seen someone do a headstand at a wedding!
Whew, I am still reeling from that dance floor!
Thank you so much for having me, Jill and Zach! You guys are fantastic and I had a wonderful time with you!!
